Scenic spot introduction:

The Haikou Shishan Volcanic Group is one of the few dormant volcanic groups in my country that have been active in the Holocene (10,000 years ago). The volcanic group covers an area of about 108 square kilometers, with a total of 34 volcanoes of various sizes. It is rich in high-quality drinking mineral water and therapeutic geothermal water. The tropical native forest, which is known as the "green lungs" of Haikou city, and the unique basalt stone tool ancient dwellings are also a major local feature.

Haikou Shishan Volcano Group National Geopark is located in Shishan Town in the western part of Xiuying District, Haikou City. It is a geological relic of graben-rift type basic volcanic activity, about 10,000 years ago, and is a rare Quaternary volcano group in the world. The volcano group covers an area of about 108 square kilometers, with a total of 34 volcanoes of various sizes, as many as 40 volcanic cones, and more than 30 lava tunnels. The variety of volcano types, rich lava landscapes, and magical lava tunnels are rare volcanic wonders. The volcano group contains abundant high-quality drinking mineral water and therapeutic geothermal water, and preserves tropical native forests known as the "green lungs" of Haikou City and unique basalt stone tool ancient dwellings.
