Introduction to the main hall: The most central and majestic building of Nanhai Temple is the main hall, which was built in 1986. The main hall is a building imitating the style of the Ming Dynasty. It has a hilltop, a single roof with double eaves, 24 huge red pillars, a supporting tower, flying beams, hump brackets, all tenoned without a single nail. Each large column stands flat and vertical on the base of the column, which is typical of the architectural art of ancient Chinese wooden palaces. The statue in the middle of the hall is Zhurong, the god of the South China Sea, which is the symbol of the southern emperor.
