Archway introduction: There is a stone archway in front of the temple called "Hai Calm Waves". Before the Ming Dynasty, it was a wooden archway, and after the Ming Dynasty it was changed to a stone archway. The current stone archway was built in the Qing Dynasty. It has an architectural style of three rooms, four columns, and a second floor. The rough and simple stone quality is a typical legacy of the Qing Dynasty. The stone archway is widely spread as the "temple emblem" of Nanhai Temple due to its rough and exquisite architecture. There are more than thirty "Hai Bu Yang Bo" archways in the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong and Macao, but only the "Hai Bu Yang Bo" archway in the Nanhai Temple is the authentic one.
