Introduction to Wang Yuyang’s former residence: “Changchun Garden”, the former residence of Wang Yuyang. According to "Shandong Tongzhi": "Changchun Garden was built by Wang Zhiyuan, the Minister of the Ming Dynasty. Later, Wang Shizhen and the old site were renovated and named Xicheng Villa"; "Xincheng County Chronicles Rebuilt" records: "Xicheng Villa is located in the southwest corner of the city." It can be seen that Wang Shizhen's former residence was built on the former site of Changchun Garden. The former residence is currently located in the north of Yuyang Road and east of Zhangtian Road in Chengnan Village, Xincheng Town, Huantai County. Wang Shizhen recorded the scale and condition of Changchun Garden at that time in "Canwei Ji": At the beginning, the king of Wanli Zhongfu asked the left servant of the household department to beg for support. The garden was located in the southwest of Lidi. It was abandoned for a long time and became a human habitation. A corner of the hill still exists. There is a pavilion on the mountain called Shifan, and a cave below it called Xiaoshan Lane. There is a pond in front of it, which is called Spring Grass Pond. There is a large stone lying on the south side of the pond, which is called Shizhang Mountain. There is a small pavilion in the north, called Bangao Pavilion. There are five towers in the northeast and a Gaoming cave. You can see the peaks of Changbai Mountain in the southwest. In front of it are two ancient pines, which is called Gaoming Tower. Both the tower and the pavilion were destroyed in the Renwu Rebellion in the Ming Dynasty, except for the pines.
