Introduction to Mingong Thatched Cottage: Among the cultural records of Shengfo Mountain, the most culturally significant story is the story of Min Zhong giving lectures here. Min Ziqian and Zhong Yu (also known as Zi Lu) were Confucius's favorite disciples. Min Ziqian resigned from office because he was dissatisfied with the misbehavior of the powerful ministers of the state of Lu, and lived in seclusion on the shore of Wenshui River. Later, at Zhong Yu's invitation, he went to Dongli East Temple at the source of the Yi River. This is for reading, lecturing, meeting friends, and leisure. One day in the summer, two people climbed up to the Holy Buddha Mountain. They admired the stunning scenery and stayed overnight at the foot of the mountain. The next day, people in the village learned that two learned gentlemen were here, and they made an appointment to build a draft house on the east side of Xiashui Curtain for them to live in and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The two were fascinated by the beautiful scenery and simple friendship. They lived together for several days, giving lectures and meeting literary friends and teachers every day. They left behind many touching stories about making friends through literature and promoting and spreading Confucian culture.
