Introduction to the Hundred-Word Praise Stele: This stele is called the Hundred-Character Praise Stele. The inscription was written by Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty. It uses a total of 100 words to introduce the basic teachings of Islam and praise the holy texts of Muhammad. The reason why the emperors of the Ming Dynasty respected Islam so much was because the founding heroes at that time included many Hui generals, such as Chang Yuchun, Hu Dahai, Mu Ying, Lan Yu, and Ding Dexing. They all made great contributions to the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, so the emperor firstly wanted to strengthen ties with them and communicate with them, and secondly, he wanted to respect their beliefs.
