Introduction to Jiang Yuan Hall: Jiang Yuan had great merits because she gave birth to Hou Ji (the ancestor of agriculture) as the "Queen Emperor". In order to commemorate the female ancestor of the Zhou tribe and enshrine Jiang Yuan as the god of marriage and fertility, as early as the Yuan Dynasty, the Jiang Yuan Temple was built in the backyard of Zhougong Temple. The existing buildings were built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty.
