Introduction to Thousand Buddha Cave: There are 175 niches and 1,001 statues in Thousand Buddha Cave. The main statues in the cave are the Three Saints of the West: Amitabha Buddha on the south wall, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva on the west wall, and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva on the east wall. The three statues are all painted stone and clay sculptures. The Buddha has a square face, earlobes, a robe and bare chest, two belts tied around the waist, and sitting cross-legged on a lotus platform. The Buddha's left hand is on his knees, his right arm is bent upward, his palm is facing inward, and his fingers are slightly bent, making a sermon gesture. The whole body posture is natural, the muscles are plump, and the face is serious.
