Introduction to Longchang Temple: Longchang Temple, also known as Baohua Temple, was first built in 502 AD. It was named Baozhigong Temple because the eminent monk Baozhi of the Liang Dynasty, the prototype of monk Jigong, established a nunnery here to teach scriptures. Longchang Temple is the ancestral temple of the Vinaya Sect of Buddhism and is known as the "No. 1 Zen Mountain". Longchang Temple is the largest Buddhist monastery preserved in China. Emperors Wu of Liang, Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong of Qing Dynasty once visited it, and dignitaries, celebrities and scholars of all ages have climbed the mountain to visit it, leaving behind eternal poems.
