Introduction to the East-West Hall: Entering from both sides of the screen door is a long and narrow courtyard, with a brick-paved corridor in the middle, 33.3 meters long and 2 meters wide. On both sides are twelve "chambers" for examinations distributed symmetrically, with water flowing on the east and west sides. The chapels are 38.3 meters long from north to south, 5 meters wide in the west and 5.5 meters wide in the east.
