Introduction to Taxia Village: Taxia Village is located in Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is a typical Hakka village where people surnamed Zhang live together. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Zhangzhou.
Taxia was built during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty. The village is located in a canyon between two majestic mountains. The surrounding mountains are high and densely forested, with bamboo growing all over the fields. In the early years, an enclosed structure was built in the mountain valleys that integrates residential, defense and other functions. Earth building buildings, along both sides of the stream, are single-yard earth-wood and brick-wood turrets with suspended turrets, forming a wonderful landscape of large buildings with small buildings and a staggered layout of high and low levels.
