Introduction to the stupa of Master Hongyi: Master Hongyi (1880-1942), whose surname was Li, given name Wentao, and given name Shutong, was born in Pinghu, Zhejiang, and was born in Tianjin. He was proficient in poetry, drama, music, calligraphy, art, and seal cutting throughout his life, and paid equal attention to it. The Nanshan Vinaya Sect of Xing Buddhism is an outstanding art master, patriotic educator and a generation of eminent monks in modern my country. In his later years, Master Hongyi spent 14 years in southern Fujian, preaching Dharma and teaching disciplines. He passed away in Wenling Nursing Home in Quanzhou in 1942 at the age of 63.
The Qingyuan Mountain Scenic Area built the "Pagoda of Master Hongyi" on the west side of Amituo Rock in 1952. The master's relics are placed in the pagoda. On the cliff on the left side of the pagoda is Zhao Puchu, the president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, "the ancient monument of the country." The stone carving of "A Forest of Wind and the Moon Accompanying the Eminent Monk", and on the right side are the stupas of masters Guangqia and Guangjing, who were the former presidents of the Singapore Buddhist Federation.
