Qianjiang Xiaonanhai, formerly known as Xiaoyinghai, is a beautiful alpine lake located in Qianjiang District, Chongqing. It covers an area of 2.87 square kilometers and is 5 kilometers long. Xiaonanhai Scenic Area has beautiful scenery, beautiful environment, charming scenery, rich water resources, and a variety of tree species, with more than 140 species of trees. Qianjiang people are good at singing and dancing. Their labor songs, rice-pulling gong and drum songs, folk songs, wedding songs, and leaf love songs are all improvised, well-written, and ingeniously conceived, full of a strong local flavor. The waving dance and lantern dance, which are well-known in and outside the region, are very popular among the masses, with brisk melodies and primitive and simple movements, giving people a refreshing and pleasing feeling. Recommended itinerary for a one-day tour from Chongqing to Xiaonanhai:
We set out at 7:00 am and took the Chongqing-Xiangjiang Expressway. After about 100 minutes, we got off at Qianjiang to visit Zhuoshui Ancient Town and taste the various local snacks. We set out at 12:30 pm to visit Xiaonanhai Scenic Area. You can climb Fengming Mountain to see the panoramic view of Xiaonanhai. You can take a boat to cruise around Xiaonanhai in the scenic area and see the Xiaonanhai Earthquake Site . Available Niubei Island → Chaoyangsi Island → Laoguan Island and Pingdao Island. After the afternoon tour, take the bus back to Chongqing.

How to get there:
There are many bus lines in Chongqing that can go directly to Xiaonanhai Scenic Area. You can also take a bus to Nanhai from Qianjiang East Station. The fare is 9 yuan and the journey takes about an hour.
