Introduction to the former residence of Zhang Jing: Zhang Jing (1492-1555), whose courtesy name was Tingyi and whose name was Banzhou, was a native of Hongtang Township, Houguan County, Fujian (now Fuzhou, Fujian). During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Japanese pirates were rampant along the coasts of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Zhang Jing, who was then Governor-General and Minister of War, led the troops of the seven provinces south of the Yangtze River and north of the Yangtze River to actively fight against the Japanese. Later, Emperor Jiajing listened to the false accusations made by Yan Song and others, and beheaded Zhang Jing in the year of his great victory against the Japanese. The people in the capital went on strike for three days.
