Mawangdui Han Tomb is a large mound raised in the flat land on the west bank of Liuyang River and north of Changliu Highway in the eastern suburbs of Changsha City. According to local records, this was the family cemetery of Changsha Prime Minister and Biaohou Licang in the early Western Han Dynasty, from 1972 to 1974. Three Western Han cemeteries were unearthed in this year.
