Introduction to Shuidong Notre Dame Church: Shuidong Notre Dame Church, the first Catholic church in southern Anhui, also stands in a corner of the old street. This Gothic church was built by the French missionary Jin Shiyu in the eighth year of Tongzhi of Muzong of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1869). It was burned in the second year of Emperor Guangxu's reign and rebuilt in the sixth year of Guangxu (AD 1880). Later, the priest's building and the church were built. It is one of the two largest Catholic churches in six provinces and cities in East China. It is as famous as Our Lady of Sheshan Church in Shanghai and has a high reputation in Southeast Asia.
