Introduction to the old street: The century-old old street is more than a mile long, paved with cobblestones and bluestone slabs. At its peak, there were more than 120 businesses and shops here, and industries such as pottery kilns, coal mining, textiles, silk reeling, umbrellas, and shipbuilding were in the ascendant.
