Introduction to the street facade: More than 80% of the buildings in the original commercial street have wooden row doors, which are basically two floors. The height of the cornice mostly varies between 5.5 meters and 6.5 meters, and there are no outstanding landmark buildings. Commercial buildings are divided according to traditional bays. The size of the building is just the increase or decrease of bays, with single bays and three bays being the most common. A single bay is the basic cell of a store. Household owners with multiple bays can also be divided into two or several stores due to reasons such as separation and leasing. The two-story wooden row-door buildings facing the street in Wan'an have very similar facades. However, this open facade and the unsealed volcanic walls on both sides make it completely different from the closed facades and protruding door covers of traditional Huizhou residential buildings, giving this commercial street a distinctive personality.
