Introduction to Confucius' place of retreat: Legend has it that Confucius traveled around the country and returned to the east after hearing that Dou Mingdu was killed by Zhao Jianzi. A tablet with the words "Confucius' place of return" remains in the village. In the spring of 2010, another pair of giant stone wheels were unearthed near the village, confirming the legend that Confucius abandoned his chariot and changed to another one when he returned home.
