Introduction to the World Canal Exhibition Hall: As early as the 19th century BC, ancient Egypt dug canals connecting the Nile River and the Red Sea. From the 16th to the 18th century, Europe entered a period of rapid canal construction. From the second half of the 18th century to the 1870s, deep-water canals were dug one after another, the most famous of which are the Kiel Canal, the Suez Canal and the Panama Canal. Canals in various countries have different purposes and therefore have different styles.
