Xiangyang Mi Gong Temple is a temple built to commemorate Mi Fu, a calligrapher, painter and connoisseur of the Northern Song Dynasty. The scenic spot is located on the bank of the Han River in the southwest of Fancheng, Xiangfan City. Mi Gong Temple, formerly known as Mi Jia'an, was first built in the Yuan Dynasty, expanded in the Ming Dynasty, and later renamed Mi Gong Temple. Since the 32nd year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1693), it has been rebuilt by the 18th generation Sun Mi Zan of Mi Fu, the 19th generation Sun Mi Jue, and the 20th generation Sun Mipeng. It was rebuilt in the fourth year of Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1865). Mi Gong Temple is composed of three parts of the building group. The central axis is the main building, and there are memorial buildings such as the worship hall, stele gallery, Baojinzhai, and Yanggaotang. The total area is more than 12,000 square meters. On the side are the East and West Stone Gardens, with pavilions, terraces, pavilions and corridors scattered in high and low places, and the ponds are full of fish. The temple collects 45 Mi Fu calligraphy scarves copied by his descendants in the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (1730), and 145 other inscriptions.
