Introduction to Yueshengzhai: Yueshengzhai’s full name is Yueshengzhai Majia Old Shop. It was established by Ma Qingrui, a Muslim, in the 40th year of Qianlong’s reign (1775). The store is located on the west side of Qianmen Street Road. It is a specialized store. This time-honored brand of beef and mutton in halal sauce has a history of more than 220 years and is a famous time-honored brand in Beijing. In the late Qing Dynasty, Empress Dowager Cixi especially loved Yueshengzhai’s sauced beef and mutton. In order to facilitate Yueshengzhai's delivery of meat to the palace, the palace issued Yueshengzhai four waist badges in October of the twelfth year of Guangxu's reign, and often sent the eunuch Li Lianying to Yueshengzhai to collect beef and mutton in sauce, or Give reward money.
