Guangde Temple was originally named "Yunju Zen Temple". During the Chenghua Period of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty personally gave a plaque of "Guangde Zen Forest", so it was renamed "Guangde Temple" to this day. It was built during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. It is located 13 kilometers west of Xiangyang County, Hubei Province, adjacent to Gulongzhong. It is a famous Shifang Jungle in the history of Buddhism in Hubei Province. Guangde Temple is adjacent to the national-level Gulongzhong Scenic Area.
