Introduction to the Three Counties of Jiming: The stone tablet of "Three Counties of Jiming" is erected on the canal ridge not far from the construction site of Yaomiao Bridge. Legend has it that in ancient times, a wandering young man fell in love with a wealthy lady and made a private engagement for life. Because of "tarnishing the family tradition", he was tied with stones and sunk into the water. The young man was completely disillusioned. He turned into a rooster and crowed loudly three times. The lady appeared and rose three times from the sinking place, finally forming today's Jiming Mountain. This is where the name "cock crows three times" comes from.
In the 22nd year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1842), Master Kongkong of Jiming Temple erected a stele in front of the temple with the inscription "Three Jiming Counties"; later due to administrative divisions, this place was the junction of Changfeng, Feixi and the original suburb. In this place, the sound of roosters is heard in "Three Counties", and people are more accustomed to writing "Xian" as "County".
