Introduction to Cheng Changgeng: Cheng Changgeng (1811~1880), whose name was Chun, and whose musical name was Cheng Wenxi. During the Tongzhi and Guangxu periods of the Qing Dynasty, he was an extraordinary and famous Peking Opera performing artist, a graduate of Gongwenwu and Gongwenwu. He was one of the thirteen founders of Peking Opera after the Huizhou troupe came to Beijing and transformed from singing Huizhou tunes and Kunqu tunes.
