Scenic spot introduction:

Shantou Lianhua Peak Scenic Area is famous for its famous sites and magnificent scenery. It is a tourist attraction for climbing up to overlook, and exploring the past and present. According to legend, in 1278 AD, Wen Tianxiang of the Southern Song Dynasty mobilized his troops to serve the king and climbed the peak to look for the emperor's boat. He named it "Lotus Peak" and carved a stone on it. Since the Song Dynasty, Lotus Peak has become a place where literati of all ages pay tribute to their predecessors. Viewed from a distance on land, the mountain peak looks like a lotus in bud; viewed from a distance on the sea, it looks like a lotus in full bloom; the long coastline at the foot of the mountain has clear water and white sand, making it a fun place to enjoy the tide and play in the summer. When the season is right, you can also enjoy the magnificent and majestic spring mist of Lianhua Peak and other eight scenes of sea color, all of which are jaw-droppingly gorgeous.

Lianhua Peak Scenic Area is located in Haimen Bay, about 10 kilometers away from Chaoyang County. The main peak, Lotus Peak, rises from the ground on the south coast and is composed of a large number of petal-shaped vertically split granites. You can see the Mass Tomb, Zhongnan Stone, Zhongxian Temple, Ancient Fort, Qiquan Well, Three Generals Stone, Wang Fu Stone, Wen Tianxiang Statue, etc. There are literary giant Wen Tianxiang, Black Flag Army general Liu Yongfu, calligraphers Yu Youren, Liu Haisu, etc. There are more than 100 inscriptions by famous people and stone carvings on cliffs. There are also natural bathing spots on the beach for tourists' entertainment.
