Scenic spot introduction:

Aksai Sugan Lake Migratory Bird Nature Reserve, with Huahaizi grassland connected together and flocks of cattle and sheep migratory birds, is a tourist attraction that can be called "Gansu's Bird Island". In summer and autumn, the lakeside is covered with greenery, horses are running on the Haizi grassland, and the "white palace"-style yurt is warm and bright, with the fragrance of mare's milk and cheerful singing and dancing; more than ten thousand migratory birds such as white swans, geese, and skylarks come to the scene. The flock is flying, and the wild ducks are cruising. This scene and emotion are full of strong Kazakh customs, which makes people yearn for it.

Sugan Lake Migratory Bird Nature Reserve is adjacent to the border of Gansu and Qinghai, 105 kilometers away from the county seat. The reserve is divided into two parts, the Big Sugan Lake and the Little Sugan Lake. There are as many as 25 species of migratory birds, including white swans, black-necked cranes, bar-headed geese, floor geese, yellow ducks and green-winged ducks, and more than 30,000 birds that inhabit and breed there. The reserve also offers activities such as speedboat tours, water parachutes, water skiing, swimming in bathhouses, horse riding, camel riding, pasture visits, and experiences of herdsmen life and Kazakh ethnic customs.
