Introduction to the Jinshangjing Huiningfu ruins: The capital of the Jin Dynasty was abandoned in the early Qing Dynasty. The Jinshangjing Huiningfu ruins today were rebuilt during the reign of King Sejong. They imitated the Liao Shangjing system and were divided into two cities, the north and the south. The southern city was inhabited by Jurchen nobles. The North City is an industrial and commercial area, with a curved-foot plan, rammed city walls, and defensive facilities such as turrets, horse faces, and urns.
The imperial city was built in the northwest of Nancheng. The layout of the palaces is similar to that of Bianliang City in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is generally rectangular. There are existing Meridian Gate, five palaces and the left and right gallery foundations. The foundation plane of the palace is in the shape of an I. The overall layout is scattered and unplanned, but It has a strong defensive color, indicating that the threat from the north already existed in the early Jin Dynasty.
