The Ciyun Temple Scenic Area in Qinglong Mountain, Gongyi has records since ancient times that "thousands of rocks compete for beauty, thousands of valleys compete for currents", "peaks and mountains line up, and streams linger". Zhao Kuangyin, Emperor Taizu of the Song Dynasty, named it "the best geomantic omen in the world". Ciyun Temple, in particular, is known as the "source of Buddhism", "ancestral court" and "the beginning of temple construction in China". Master Xuanzang, an eminent monk in the Tang Dynasty, returned from Buddhist scriptures to perform Dafa here. Master Nan Zongshun in the Ming Dynasty continued to build it. It became one of the four major temples in the country, and the famous writer Wu Chengen wrote "Journey to the West" here based on the "Two Elders", Tang Monk and the surrounding legends.The scenic area has 2,317 hectares of primary secondary forest, with more than 100 species of medicinal plants and various birds and animals, and the natural ecology is well protected. How to get there:
Bus route: From Zhengzhou, take the long-distance bus from Zhengzhou to Luoyang and the long-distance bus from Zhengzhou to Gongyi, get off at Gongyi Dayugou Zhongling Station, and transfer to the bus to Qinglong Mountain Ciyun Temple Scenic Area.
Self-driving route:
1. Luoyang - Scenic Area: Luoyang - Lianhuo Expressway - Gongyi - Dayugou Town - Scenic Area; or take National Highway 310 from Luoyang to Gongyi City Bus Station and go east To Dayugou Town, 7 kilometers south to the scenic spot.
2. Zhengzhou - Scenic Area: It is recommended to take National Highway 310, Zhengzhou - Dayugou Town - Scenic Area; or Zhengzhou - Lianhuo Expressway - Gongyi - Dayugou Town - Scenic Area.
