Introduction to the Liu and Deng Sculpture: The Liu Deng Sculpture was built to commemorate the commander of the Southwest Shandong Campaign, the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Field Army - Commander Liu Bocheng and Political Commissar Deng Xiaoping. The total length of the sculpture is 18 meters, the base width is 6 meters, the main figures of Liu and Deng are 8 meters high, and the highest point of other parts is 6 meters. The mountain group of sculptures is in the shape of a "sheep's head" and is made of sorghum red granite, symbolizing the war-torn Sheep Mountain during the Battle of Southwest Shandong. The group sculptures are 13 warriors with distinctive personalities. Through their costumes, props, movements, etc., they well reflect the momentum of Chief Liu and Deng in strategizing and winning thousands of miles, as well as the heroic spirit of the soldiers.
