Introduction to the Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs of Southern Fujian: Located in the south east corner of Zhongshan Park, facing east and west, the entire building and environment are solemn and solemn. The monument covers a total area of 1,458 square meters. It was built by the Longxi District Administrative Office in August 1956 to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs of southern Fujian who devoted themselves to the cause of the liberation of the Chinese people. On the monument, the famous Zhangzhou craftsman Li Mingyue made a reinforced concrete sculpture of a Red Army soldier wearing a military uniform, carrying a bamboo hat on his shoulder, and holding a rifle. He is 3.2 meters tall, has a large cylindrical seat, a column height of 4.65 meters, and a column circumference of 7 meters. On the front of the monument is "Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs of Southern Fujian" and below it is "Erected in August 1956". The base is a three-level octagonal water-milled slab with eight stone steps in all directions. Stone railings are built around it and hedges are planted on the outside.
