Papermaking introduction: Papermaking is one of China’s four great inventions. The Dai family has a long history of papermaking. The raw material used is the bark of a tree called "Maisa" in Dai language. The bark is first soaked in water, then boiled, and then crushed into pulp. Pour the slurry into the papermaking tank, mix it with water, and then use a paper scoop (bamboo sling) to scoop out the pulp. The pulp water will form pieces of wet paper on the paper scoop, and then put it in the light to dry. This kind of paper does not fade for hundreds of years, is durable, and is not moth-eaten, but the paper is thicker and rougher.
