Yuantong Temple in Wujiang is a famous temple in the south of the Yangtze River with a history of thousands of years. Its four thousand-armed Avalokitesvara statues, the "Ten Scenery" ginkgo trees, and the Vajra Sutra stele are the three unique features of Yuantong Temple. Historically, Yuantong Nunnery was small in scale and flourished during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It rose and fell several times. Believers gathered here to burn incense and worship Buddha on the first and fifteenth day of the Lunar New Year and during the Buddha's birthday. It was suspended until the Cultural Revolution. Today, the rebuilt Yuantong Temple has small bridges, flowing water, lotus fountains, rockery caves, and exquisite gardens, just like a fairyland. The cultural landscape is also extremely rich, recreating the prosperity of the past.

Wujiang Yuantong Temple is located at No. 1366, South Tiyu Road, Suzhou City, covering an area of ​​more than 60 acres. There are currently archways, Tianwang Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Main Hall, Life Release Pond, Guanyin Pavilion, Sutra Collection Building, etc. The landscape park on the west side covers an area of ​​more than 40 acres. The main attractions include the open-air golden and jade Guanyin statue on the water, the lotus pond, the lotus fountain, and the waiting room.
