Gadan Dejiling Temple Introduction: Gadan Dejiling Temple is currently the only temple in Tibetan area that enshrines the twelve-year-old life-size statue of Sakyamuni and the founder of the eight major sects of Tibetan Buddhism. The Sutra Collection Pavilion of the temple collects and displays precious scriptures such as 108 volumes of "Kangyur", 203 volumes of "Tenjur", "Tantric Collection", "Diamond Sutra" and documents of the founders of the eight major sects. The large number and complete varieties are rare in the entire Tibetan area.
