Introduction to Our Lady's Guardian Church: Harbin's Our Lady's Guardian Church was built in 1922. It was originally a stone structure prayer house. The believers were mainly Ukrainians, so it was once known as the Ukrainian church. In 1930, the church moved from the Ukrainian Club to the old Russian cemetery on East Dazhi Street. It was designed by the famous Russian architect Yu P. Zhdanov and imitated the artistic style of the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey.
