The cathedral was completed in December 1900. It is known as the "First Orthodox Church in the Far East" and is called "Lama Terrace" by Harbin people. The main body is an octahedral circular building, surrounded by cloisters and several protruding semicircular altars. There is a towering bell tower above the main entrance, and the north and south sides are slightly convex to become secondary entrances. The architectural proportions of this church are well proportioned, the layout is well-proportioned, and the shape is harmonious and elegant.
