Introduction to turtle laying eggs: Around the Spring Festival, nearly a hundred turtles land on the island to lay eggs every night. After the clumsy turtle mother buries the eggs on the beach, she must rush back to the sea before the tide recedes, missing the opportunity. Sea turtles are sometimes trapped on the rocks and can only wait for the next tide to come or for help from enthusiastic tourists.
Baby turtles usually emerge from their shells at night and swim toward the sea under the cover of darkness. Since the hatchlings are no larger than the size of a human hand, hatchlings that emerge during the day can easily become a meal for seabirds.
