Introduction to the National Library of Australia: The National Library of Australia is the largest library in Australia. It was founded in 1960 and is located on the shores of Lake Griffin, between Commonwealth Avenue (COMMONWEALTH AVENUE) and National Library. Between the science and technology centers, there are more than 5 million books in the library, including Captain Cook's manuscripts. It is one of the world's famous libraries. There are guided tours of the building, with dedicated explanations available from 11:15 to 14:15 from Monday to Friday.
