Introduction to Tanshishanren: Standing in the museum is the restored upper body statue of Tanshishanren, one male and one female. It is understood that this is based on a male skeleton unearthed at the Tanshishan site. It was identified by anthropologists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences as belonging to the "South Asian type of Mongoloid" of modern humans, and was named "Tanshishan Man" by the archaeological community. The recovered Tanshishan people belong to the South Asian type of Mongoloid race or the Maritime Mongoloid race.
