Shimen Forest Park is located in the northeast of Conghua City, 86 kilometers away from Guangzhou City. The park covers an area of 2,636 hectares and is divided into Pastoral Scenic Area, Shimen Scenic Area, Shizao Scenic Area, Tiantangding Scenic Area and Canyon Adventure Area. Among the vast forests, the towering Shimen, Shimen Xiangxue, Tianchi Flower Sea, Hibiscus Plank Road, Shimen Stream, and Shimen Red Leaves are the most important ones. 1. Flower viewing period: January to March → Red Lotus, March to April → Rhododendron, mid-March to mid-late April → Bird Flower, late September to early November → Colorful Tianchi, November to Mid-January of the following year → red leaves in Shimen, early December to late January of the following year → fragrant snow in Shimen.
2. Whether you have enough time or limited time, you cannot miss the Tianchi Flower Sea in Shizao Scenic Area, followed by the Canyon Scenic Area. Since the scenic spots in the park are scattered and the hiking time is no less than 5 hours, it is recommended that tourists first visit the key scenic spots.
3. The best time to take photos of rapeseed flowers is when the drizzle first stops, when water droplets hang on the rapeseed flowers and the colors are the most vivid and bright.

How to get there:
Bus route: Take a bus from the long-distance bus station to Conghua Street Entrance, then transfer to the shuttle bus from Street Entrance to Daling Mountain to reach the foot of the park.
Self-driving route: From Guan-Shenzhen Expressway, exit from Taoyuan/Shimen Forest Park/X934 exit; just drive along X934.
