Introduction to the Prime Minister's Ancestral Hall: The Prime Minister's Ancestral Hall was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and is the ancestral hall of the Zhuge family in Gaolong. The ancestral hall faces east from the west and is laid out in a zigzag shape. It consists of a gate, an atrium, a verandah, a bell and drum tower and a Xiangtang, with a total area of 1,400 square meters.
The gatehouse, bedroom and two verandas of the Prime Minister's Ancestral Hall form a square courtyard 23 meters wide and 18 meters deep. In the middle of the courtyard is a majestic atrium. There are seven verandahs on both sides of the atrium, each with sculptures. There is a statue of a descendant who has achieved fame or made outstanding contributions to the family; there are steps at the end of the left and right verandas, and there are platforms, bell towers and drum towers on the 12th level; the bedroom on the platform in the north of the atrium is dedicated to the ancestor Zhuge Liang. There are Guan Xing and Zhang Bao on both sides of the statue. The statue on the right is his son Zhuge Zhan who died defending Mianzhu. The statue on the left is Zhuge Shang, the eldest grandson of Duke Wu who died at the same time as his father. There is a picture exhibition of Zhuge Liang's life in the far right room of the dormitory. and "Gaolong Zhuge Family Genealogy".
Every year on the Winter Solstice Festival, the Prime Minister’s Ancestral Hall holds an ancestor worship ceremony called Winter Worship. This is the most solemn and highest-level ceremony in Zhuge Village.
