Introduction to Taishi Lane: There are still several Ming Dynasty residences preserved in Taishi Lane, Xinjie, Tangqi City. For those residences in the Ming Dynasty, the entire building was surrounded by high firewalls to prevent both theft and fire. The doors were all Shikumen with eaves, and dragons and phoenixes were painted on the eaves, which was quite elegant. There are three to four open rooms in the entire building, with a depth of six to seven floors and an interval of 15 meters. There are wing rooms on the east and west sides of the hall, with a small patio in the middle for lighting. On both sides of the main gate, there is a long and narrow alleyway, which is connected to the inner courtyard of each house and has a side door, which is quite unique.
