Introduction to Centenary Huichang: Centenary Huichang, formerly known as "Huichang" North and South Warehouse, was founded in the fifth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1800), and operated both wholesale and retail. The store has four workshops for candles, candied fruit, tea and lotus root starch. In addition to selling candles, it also sells more than 200 kinds of products including candied fruit, tea and food, roasted seeds and nuts, fruits from the north and south, and seafood. Traditional products include: green plum, white plum, candied lotus root, cherry preserved fruit, candied bergamot, sweet green fruit, honey scented yuan, red and green silk, sesame candy, peach cake, cloud cake, pine nut candy, inch gold candy, lotus root powder, and colored eggs. , dragon and phoenix flowers, candles and more than 100 kinds. During the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (1782-1850), the candied fruits and candles produced were selected as tributes by Emperor Daoguang; by the Guangxu period (1875-1908), they had become the "designated supplier" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Forbidden City) of the Qing Dynasty 1929 At the first "West Lake Expo" in 2017, "Huichang"'s osmanthus ginger and other candied products won the highest award (special prize). There is a popular saying in the folk proverb of Tangqi: "Huichang preserves, Fuchang sugar, cakes, tea and Li Hengchang, all scattered in Huachang." This reflects the century-old Huichang's unique position among Hangzhou preserves. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Huichang already had 18,000 yuan in capital, nearly a hundred employees, 94 warehouses, and more than a thousand vats (fences), and developed into the largest company in the food industry. In the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), Huichang's registered capital reached 150 million yuan. In the 1930s, "Huichang" began to use glass counters, fluorescent lighting, and candied fruits packaged in glass bottles. At present, Centenary Huichang has been named one of the first batch of "Hangzhou Time-honored Brands" by the General Office of the Hangzhou Municipal Government and a "Zhejiang Time-honored Brand" by the General Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government.
