Introduction to the forced crossing of the Dadu River: On May 29, 1935, 17 warriors of the Central Red Army faced a hail of bullets from the enemy on the other side and successfully forcibly crossed the Dadu River, opening the way for the main force of the Red Army to successfully cross the river. It broke Chiang Kai-shek's dream of letting the Red Army be the second Shi Dakai.
The Dadu River Scenic Area has the Dadu River Ferry, the Qianlong Stele, the Yiwang Stele, and the 17 Warriors List Stele. With the help of boatmen and under the cover of firepower, 17 warriors forcibly crossed the Dadu River, opening a gap in the naturally dangerous Dadu River defense line.
