Introduction to the Wise Man's Pagoda: The Wise Man's Pagoda is located in Jindiling (Folong Mountain) in the north of the county. It is also known as Zhenjue Temple and commonly known as Tatou Temple. It is the founder of the Tiantai Sect of Chinese Buddhism, Master Wise (538-597). The place of first cultivation. The pagoda courtyard was built in the 17th year of Emperor Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (597). The existing buildings were rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty.
There is a stone pagoda in the courtyard - the Master Wise Body Tower. The tower is 7 meters tall and has elegant and exquisite carvings. In the front niche on the first floor sits a statue of Master Wise, with a lifelike look, so this is where the real body of Master Wise is located. Religious figures from Japan, South Korea and other Southeast Asian countries who come to Guoqing Temple in Tiantai Mountain to worship the "ancestral court" all come here to pay homage.
In the courtyard, there is a "Tang Monument" written by Liang Su, a Hanlin scholar, and written by Xu Fang, the governor of Taizhou, in the sixth year of Tang Yuanhe (811). The monument records the wise man's life and the seven generations of the Tiantai Sect A brief introduction to the ancestor. On the ancient path on the left side of the pagoda courtyard are the tombs of three eminent monks, Zhang An, Jingxi and Youxi, the founders of the Tiantai Sect. There are also cliff stone carvings such as "Samantabhadra Realm", "Jiaoyuan" and "Folong" nearby. One mile to the east from the Wise Man Pagoda, there is the "Master Wise Man's Dharma Place" inscribed with donations from Master Hai Deng. It is said that Master Wise Man once preached here.
