There was a Huansha Temple on Zhuji Luoluo Mountain as early as the Tang Dynasty. It was built by the local people in Zhuji to commemorate Xi Shi. Although it suffered many wars later, the temple remained intact. During the Anti-Japanese War, Xishi Hall suffered the greatest damage, with only a corner of the apse remaining. The destruction was even worse during the Cultural Revolution. The current Xishi Hall was renovated in 1986, and was basically completed and opened to the public in 1990. During the reconstruction of the Xishi Hall, more than 10,000 wooden trusses, corbels, sparrows, doors, windows, stone lions, stone pillars, etc. were collected. The temple has been skillfully restored. Not only has it become a place for people to commemorate Xi Shi, but it has also become a folk architectural art museum in Zhuji.
