Introduction to Liushang Pavilion: Liushang Pavilion is the place where Wang Xizhi and his friends chanted and composed poems and completed the "Preface to the Lanting Collection". On March 3, the ninth year of Yonghe reign of Emperor Mu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi, Sun Tong, Sun Chuo, Xie An, Zhi Dun and other 41 famous people gathered here to celebrate the "Women's Day" banquet. After the gathering, 26 people composed 37 poems. Wang Xizhi wrote a 324-word preface for it, which is Wang Xizhi's calligraphy masterpiece "Preface to the Lanting Collection", known as "the best running script in the world". Lanting has therefore become a place of pilgrimage for calligraphers of all ages and a famous garden in the south of the Yangtze River.
