Introduction to the Xu family mansion: Most of the houses on the ancient street retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and are mostly civil structures, with "three sides and one screen wall" and "four in five patios" on the green tile slope roof; Some layouts are connected to form a zigzag loft; some are in a "six-six-in-one-spring" layout, such as Courtyard No. 8, South Street; and some are connected with "three sides and one screen wall", such as Courtyard No. 64, East Street. According to expert inspections, there are still a few Yuan Dynasty dwellings in the city. There are still more than 180 relatively complete courtyards in the ancient street, some of which have been announced as county-level cultural relics protection units. Risheng and Yuehua Streets mostly have one or two shops, behind which are deep "bamboo tube" style houses with three entrances and two courtyards. These buildings are simple and elegant, with carved beams and painted beams. Residents pay attention to the facade. Most of the doors have single eaves or double eaves, wooden frames and tiled roofs, and pavilions and buckets. Every household has a courtyard, and every family plants orchids. There is a poem that "the spring orchid breeze in the city is fragrant."
