Forest introduction: As a national nature reserve, Yunlong Tianchi is surrounded by 100,000 acres of primeval forest. A total of 1,118 species of vascular plants in 168 families, 477 genera and 1,041 species of seed plants in 148 families, 441 genera and 1,041 species have been recorded, which is rare. There are 14 species of endangered protected plants, belonging to 9 families and 11 genera, mostly gymnosperms. In addition, the animals under national first-level protection in the reserve include tigers, leopards, and red-breasted pheasants; the animals under national second-level protection include macaques, musk deer, red pandas, swans, snow chickens, giant civets, and three-tailed brown swallowtails. 16 more types. There are 118 species of birds, belonging to 16 families and 34 orders.
