The front hall, the back building, and the courtyard are alternately interspersed with dripping water and seepage water. It is full of ancient charm and very elegant.

Wang Ding has an upright nature, a broad mind, and noble integrity. He has served successively as editor, successor, minister of household affairs, governor of Henan, governor of Zhili, minister of military aircraft, and bachelor of Dongge University. He has reformed river affairs, redressed injustices, and has achieved considerable political achievements. . During the negotiation of the Treaty of Nanjing, Wang Ding, regardless of his old age and illness, told Emperor Daoguang the long-term harm of ceding Hong Kong to the country and the nation, and angrily criticized the capitulationists. Late at night on June 8, 1842, he hanged himself in the Old Summer Palace with the will "Treaties should not be granted lightly, bad practices should not be tolerated, Mu (referring to Mu Zhang'a) should not be allowed to leave, and Lin (referring to Lin Zexu) should not be abandoned!"
